Life Sucks, and Then Your Hard Drive Dies

Lately my computer had been out of order, it still is. Right now I'm using a spare, anyway, in fear of forgetting what I wanted to blog, I wrote it down. Here it is:

Monday 30th June

"The last two days have been a bit weird. I' currently finishing day 2 of no computer by watching Psychoville (reccomended by Emily, I can't believe she didn't mention 1. it's british and 2. Dawn French!!!).
This whole thing started on Sunday at about 12 noon. I'd just woken up and my mum came into my room. She told me that our hard drive had crashed and a new one was being delivered on
Tuesday. At first I was a bit strange but after an xbox session I felt much better.
Today (Monday) was (of course) another tennis day. I love it! I've been following Murray (if you don't know then skip to the next paragraph) and Hewitt, who both played awesome (but tough) matches. I can't wait for the next round :p
After the tennis I decided to write this (wooo)
There is another thing. Last night I watched Jack, a film about a boy who physically ages four times faster than normal, so while looking like a 40 year old he's only 10 mentally. Of course if you do the maths he dies at about 20. The moral of this is that we take life for granted, in both directions. I'm completely overreacting about this bloog holiday. I'm just happy to have people that care. Things are better simple, so if I'm just a time filler while waiting for friends or just some quick company for a party that didn't quite go to plan, I'm happy because it's ME. Goodnight."
In other news: I'm seeing Eleanor tomorrow (woooooooo)

Top 5 Songs (Week Starting 22/06)

Yes, while I'm doing all my other lists I have taken to time to bring you another five this week. Surprisingly, only one song has found it's way through from my top 48, which is quite impressive considering I've been listening to it for most of the week.

5. A Shot In the Dark - Playing With Matches

None of you will have heard of this unless I've sent it to you. It's one of my favourite songs of all time, I like it so much, that it's my text message tune :p I don't know what it's about because that's how unknown it is lol. Also, no lyrics because like Adalia, you WILL see this song another time :P.

4. The New Black - Every Time I Die

Do we recognize this name? We certainly do, this song has just joined the "posted twice" club! I still love it's cockiness and even the can opening sound at the start suggests that It's relaxed. I love it!

3. Rooftops - Lostprophets

Ok, the list kinda starts here :p. I rediscovered this song while watching kerrang, and the video came on and I was like "oh, I like this song!". I used to listen to it on repeat back when it came out :p Apparently it's about living your life to the full and having no regrets. I don't care, check out some lyrics (there aren't many):

Good Lyrics: "Will we make a mark,
This time.
Will we always say we tried"

"Standing on the rooptops,
Everybody scream your heart out"

"Standing on the rooftop,
Waiting till the bomb drops,
This is all we've got now,
Scream until your heart stops,
Never gonna regret,
Watching every sunset,
Listen to your heartbeat,
All the love that we've felt."

2. Champagne - Cavo

Not sure where this song came from to be honest, I picked it up while looking for sink into me I think. Anyway, it popped up while I was having a case of (virtual) road rage. And it worked, I beat Jazmine's high score with this in the back ground. It's one of those songs that has a bit of adrenaline taped to the side. I think the meaning sort of speaks for itself (a relationship ending), but I'm not certain because I can't even find the lyrics, I'll just have a shot at posting the chorus :p

Good Lyrics:
"Could've been the champagne,
The champagne,
Could've been the cocaine,
The cocaine,
Could've been the way you looked at me,
That told me we were through,
Could've been a bad day,
A bad day,
Could've been the real way
The real way,
Could've been the way you looked at me,
That told me we were through"

1. Three Cheers For Five Years - Mayday Parade

It's about time these guys got a number 1 :p I've only started listening to this song lately, it carries a lot of their emotion and it's not their most emotional song (see miserable at best). It just caught my ears while my playlist did it's thing and like other mayday parade songs, it presents real emotion, maybe not as much as miserable at best (if ever i have a depressed week that WILL be number one) and obviously it's about a breakup (most likely after five years together on their anniversary) and apparently the guy thinks that things will be better after a month apart but because the girl cheated on him he just can't forgive her. There you go.

"I swear that you don't have to go
I thought we could wait for the fireworks
I thought we could wait for the snow
To wash over Georgia and kill the hurt
I thought I could live in your arms
And spend every moment I had with you
Stay up all night with the stars
Confess all the faith that I had in you
To late, I'm sure and lonely
Another night, another dream wasted on you
Just be here now against me
You know the words so sing along for me baby
For heaven's sake I know you're sorry
But you won't stop crying
This anniversary may never be the same
Inside I hope you know I'm dying
With my heart beside me
In shattered pieces that may never be replaced
And if I died right now you'd never be the same

I thought with a month of apart
Together would find us an opening
And moonlight would provide the spark
And that I would stumble across the key
Or break down the door to your heart
Forever could see us not you and me
And you'd help me out of the dark
And I'd give my heart as an offering

And I will always remember you as you are right now to me
And I will always remember now
Sleep alone tonight with no one here just by your side
How does he feel, how does he kiss
How does he taste while he's on your lips
I can't forget you
I know you want me to want you
I want to
But I can't forgive you
So when this is over don't blow your composure baby
I can't forgive you
I know you want me to want you I want to"

The Third One

I need to calm down, I actually hate the summer holidays because it's so longggg and nothing EVER happens, ever.

Right now, I'm definitely overreacting, because I'm only two days in. So here's something to distract me: Which is faster, a milk truck or a golf cart? I've also decided how to find out.

We fill the milk truck and set it off first, then set two or three golf carts after it with passengers weilding golf clubs, there are points for every bottle of milk smashed and the golf carts instantly win if they go full pirate and take the milk truck. I love it.

Facebook (No doubt the second of three posts today :p)

As many of you may already know, I gave in and signed up for facebook at some ridiculous hour this morning. I will still be using msn more, my worry is that everybody else functions the other way round...

In other news, I've gathered all 100 of my music videos and I'm considering actually posting them one at a time, maybe two or three a day, sounded like a good idea to me at the time :p

I think my problem is that I really need some cheering up.

Holidays

Today/Yesterday (Tuesday) was/has been pretty weird. I've been being pretty grouchy I guess, lying in wait to see who'd talk to me first on msn: four people, it's sad that that's actually more than I expected :p One of them was to point out how i never bothered to start the conversation. Good point, but not great for my mood, at least I know they care about me :) You know who you are. So apart from that, I'm grateful for those who spoke to me first. Again, you know who you are :) and I'm happy that I now know that I'm cared for, in my twisted, stubborn, pathetic way :p So, enough of me being stubborn, more of my next point.

Sooooo many people are gonna be away during July, it's amazing. So I guess I'm probably going to have to get myself a job (I need some cash for t-shirts and train tickets anyway). I want to get away for just one day, to the beach. Southend, because I went there so many times as a kid that it sort of became regular, and then it just stopped. Last time I went was actually before I met Jazmine (the local :p), so surely three years later it's time to go again? Definitely.

I feel happy right now, at 2:54:11, I hope it lasts.

2:55:52: it didn't last. I wish people would listen to me and treat me as if I had some kind of knowledge, they might as well throw a rattle at me right now. I'm up now because I know I wont be able to get to sleep until about 4am, meaning there's no point going to bed until about 3:30. This is because of how I've been sleeping lately. I've set my alarm to 11am so I will wake up earlier which will hopefully mean that I can sleep earlier. That's so the person who didn't listen to me in the first place now knows why I'm so pissed off that they decided to not just fucking leave me alone to do what I was doing, because I'm fully aware of the fucking time. You know who you are.

Do Flies Have Nutritional Value? (50th Post!!!)

This morning, I got up at 5.30 to go for a jog (the surprises never stop do they?). It was hell, but I definately want to do it again. Then I got home, changed and went to school for my final exam. Fair enough, but then I went for walkies around the school to finish up some jobs.

I met Halima on the stairs at the top of the school, I've been sitting next to her for a year in I.T but never really seemed to speak to her that much, now I'm just starting to talk to her and it was then, on the stairs that I realized how grateful I am that she's staying for sixth form because she seems like a really nice girl (I mean, she spoke to me, not the other way round for once :p).

Then it was the long walk home, where I scrounged some coppers off of people (I did know them) so I could flip a coin to decide which route I'd take (oh how exiting my life is! :P). However, life can't always be this joyous. I was innocently talking to James when a fly decided that my mouth would be a good exploration point, it didn't stop to take a look and headed straight for the back of my throat :( Not fun.

But overall I'm fairly happy with today and now I have a forever to do nothing until plans come up (about 8 weeks) :p Fun fun fun.

Change

I've realized that I missed a HUGE idea on Friday, it was my 48th post, and my song list was gonna be 48 songs! I'm so disappointed with myself. Anyway, I didn't post yesterday because I was at Eleanor's all day having an amazing time (thank you Eleanor!). But today as you may have noticed, I'm posting about change.

Currently, I'm sitting here in jeans and a watch (and other essentials, those are the two main ones), I haven't been known to wear either very much in the past. I'm starving myself (I shouldn't feel starved because all I've done is cut down to the three essential meals a day, no snacks). Also, I start jogging tomorrow, after my last exam.

I guess everyone is wondering why I'm doing all this, which is fair enough. It's no secret that I need to lose weight and it's also well known that I lack serious style. Truth is, I was never really bothered, but now that I'm sixteen, It's about time I concentrated on myself for my own benefit, I deserve it.

Another thing, I'm probably going to get Facebook when I can be bothered to fill everything out and whatever, so I can keep in touch with everyone I'm losing from school. Obviously msn and my blog will be more important than Facebook, but it's about time I got it.

So there you go. I'm not sure how it will effect me or how fast I can lose weight, we'll just have to wait and see :D

Top 5 Songs (The Stats!)

Second post today (take that Jazmine!) and I'm posting because a) this is my 48th post (think about it :p and b) I think that we should look back on my lists seeing as the marvellous weekly event (that millions flock to see! Give or take a few hundred thousand) has reached it's tenth anniversary. So here, have some stats:

Bands featured...

Once:
The Matches, My chemical Romance, Placebo, The Used, Blindside, April Sixth, Armour For Sleep, Rise Against, Paramore, Lightweight Holiday, Every Time I Die, Crash Romeo, Alkaline Trio, The All American Rejects, 3OH!3, Waking Ashland, Artreyu, AFI, Name Taken, Finch, Mayday Parade, Fall Out Boy, My Passion, A Change Of Pace.

Twice:
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Cute is What We Aim For, Chiodos, Plain White T's, Escape the Fate.

Three Times: You Me At Six

Five Times: Madina Lake(5 Different Songs), Relient K (4 Different Songs)

I must say I was very happy when I discovered that Relient K HADN'T had more places than Madina Lake :p

Most Number Ones: Relient K (2)

Most Songs In One List: Madina Lake (2)

Songs Featured More Than Once:
Save it For the Bedroom - You Me At Six (2nd and 3rd)
Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet? - Relient K (3rd and 2nd)

Admittedly, I can't think of many stats to list, but I have two very interesting lists to post today. The first is:

My Number One Number One:

10. We'll Be Okay - Madina Lake
9. In Love With The 80's - Relient K
8. There's a Class For This - Cute Is What We Aim For
7. Sink Into Me - Taking Back Sunday
6. Saturday - Fall Out Boy
5. Come Right Out and Say It - Relient K
4. The Rumour - You Me At Six
3. Take Me Away - Plain White T's
2. The Bird and the Worm - The Used
1. Situations - Escape the Fate

So, if that's the case, how would they show themselves in my Top 48?

Top 5 Songs (Week Starting 15/06)

Is it bad that I have to count backwards on my fingers to figure out what date this week started on? Anyway, here we are on my 10th song list! I've been doing some calculations and I've decided that I couldn't have possibly chosen a better week to celebrate this blog, it's amazing.

Also, before I begin this week, I'd like to announce my 8th follower! I was exited when I recieved the seventh (Jazmine you won't be pushed to the side because of this) but now I'm practically wetting myself with joy, in the manliest possible way of course. Thank you Ant, you've made this soldier happy again.

So cracking on, here are my top five songs for this week. Take a closer look when you're done, you'll notice that the bands are in alphabetical order (my playlist ignores "the"), I have trouble taking it seriously :p

5. Papercut Skin - The Matches

I adore The Matches, they used to be my favourite band, I had all their albums and everything. Needless to say, I moved on and they released a third album (I still think their first is the best). This is track 3 on album 2 (yes, I know it off by heart) and to be honest, it's not my favourite song by them, possibly on that album, but not in total. However, it's been the song i've heard most this week and so it narrowly squeezed in at five. Apparently it's about routine, and trying to make money, simple as. Some of the lines are really clever. Take a look.

Good lyrics: "Day out, day in
It's the alarm versus me
and the snooze button wins."

"Cash out, cash in
I can burn all I earn
on some weakness or whim
without thinking
I'm a mark for their marketing plans
I'm Americancer
A Myspace romancer"

"Give out, give in
If a man's hands show his trade does it suit me then
This papercut skin that makes me wince with each hand
I'm required to
shake, shake, shake, shake"

"[Chorus]
Day out, day in
recycle bins
cash out cash in
debit pins
Day out, day in
the paper cuts my skin again
skin again"

4. Helena - My Chemical Romance

99% of the people reading this blog will have heard this song, (maybe not Eleanor,) it's legendary. Certainly among the best on their best album in my opinion and by far their best video (don't argue with that). It's about Gerrard's grandma passing away, you can feel the emotion seeping from the song. I love the effect it gives off, it's just so powerful! Gets me everytime, if there was any song on this list I'd predict seeing here again, it'd be this one.

Good lyrics: "[Chorus]
What's the worst that I could say
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
And if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight"

3. For What It's Worth - Placebo

What the hell?! Placebo on MY list?! Yes it's true, I despise the guy's voice, it annoys me so much. The reason I like this tune is because the tune really makes up for what his voice does to my blood pressure, almost transforms it. It's so lively, I was shocked when i heard it. My favourite bit is the bit after the second chorus, with the little dinky tune *plays just after I write it* (yes, I do listen to the songs while I write about them:p). Awesome.

Good Lyrics: Ok, there are none, but the tune rocks, I promise.

2. Which to Bury, Us Or the Hatchet? - Relient K

Yes, they're back AGAIN, this song's moved up ONE PLACE from last week (woo!). I don't really need to post much about it because it's back, but the question remains, for how much longer will Relient K shove my beloved Madina Lake out of the way on my lists?! We'll find out who's actually winning soon...

1. The Bird and the Worm - The Used

Yes, you didn't think i was telling the truth about the letters did you? Go and check again, just in case :p I think four out of five new bands on my 10th list is pretty impressive. It's just when you think I'm settled, I suddenly bix things up a mit (couldn't resist:p)

The intro to this tune is so delightfully quirky that you just can't ignore the rest. The delivery of lyrics kind of add to the quirkyness, but all in all, it creates a song that isn't quirky, it creates a song that's AMAZING! The chorus is so powerful, it hits me pretty hard. the verses and lyrics in general sort of twist your musical imagination. It's amazing when you think about it. I found some really interesting meanings when I was checking out the sites for this song. Personally I agree that the person's trying to escape from himself (which is why his escape seems so slow and pointless "crawls like a worm from a bird"). However, check this meaning out:

"The more I listen to it, the more I feel it is about domestic violence from the abusee's point of view. "The Stranger's looks" could possibly be the public seeing the abusee's bruises and marks. He hangs on to his backpack as a focus of escape (his heart). When he sings about someone being "out of their mind" and "terrified of what's inside" it may be of the abuser and how he never knows what to expect from him/her. "To save his life, he Crawls like a worm" reminds me of escaping to dark place, like a closet. "All alone," in the closet, "He turns to stone," holds as still as possible, "holding his breath half to death," trying not to breathe to not be found. When he arives at home, the abuser remind him he is all alone (the deep, terrifying voice in the background)."

It's interesting how each person interperets a song isn't it? I'd love to see your comments about the songs I post on here. It'd be good =D

"He wears his heart safety-pinned to his backpack
His backpack is all that he knows
Shot down by strangers
whose glances can cripple the heart
and devour the soul

All alone he turns to stone
While holding his breath half to death
Terrified of what's inside
To save his life
He crawls like a worm from a bird

(all alone) Crawls like a worm from a bird

Out of his mind the way pushes him, whispering
Must have been out of his mind
Midday delusions of pushing this out of his head
Make him out of his mind (out of his mind)

All alone he turns to stone
While holding his breath half to death
Terrified of what's inside
To save his life
He crawls like a worm, crawls like a worm from a bird

(all alone) Crawls like worm from a bird (x2)
(all alone) crawls like a worm, crawls like a worm from a bird

All he knows
If he can't relieve it, it grows
And so it goes
He crawls like a worm, crawls like a worm from a bird

Out of his mind the way pushes him, whispering
Must have been out of his mind

All alone he turns to stone
While holding his breath half to death
Terrified of what's inside
To save his life
He crawls like a worm from a bird

All alone he's holding his breath half to death
Terrified to save his life
He crawls like a worm, crawls like a worm from a bird

(all alone) Crawls like worm from a bird (x2)
(all alone) crawls like a worm, crawls like a worm, crawls like a worm from a bird"

Personally, I was glad when I got to four, this is just amazing. I am very much in belief that this is a good week to celebrate this blog.

Earlier, while I was eating my cheese and marmite on toast, I was reading about cheese and marmite on toast, it was about then I realized that I had a scary amount in common with people :p My life has had various twists and turns lately (nothing new really) and even though I appear to be standing in some kind of crater right now, after being hit by something pretty big, I'm quite happy. Yes! Happy, you heard me right.

I've been watching Ascot today, the hats are amazing. Definately a venue to target when I'm older, I was thinking that the best person to take would be Eleanor, but quickly reconsidered. I decided that horse racing and animal lovers don't REALLY mix that well. But yeah, when I'm rich...

Dear Blog,

We've been together for two months today, and I think we should do something special to celebrate. But I'm not really sure what...So this week is officially "anniversary week" and I'll be doing something important another time.

In other news, I now only have one exam left!!!!! I'm so happy, I also finished two other subjects today. 4 GCSEs in a day isn't bad at all.

I've also been working on Robert and Jennifer a lot, and I've got a plan of everything, from October to August (that's how long it is). I've been having a bit of trouble collecting my videos, a recent comp crash has caused me to lose a few of them, but no matter, I will finish this.

So, dearest blog, I promise you I will find you something to celebrate those two glorious months together,

Adam

Dogs

Abbots Langley Fair! Wooo!!

This year, it was decided that Eleanor was going to enter her dog (Skye) into the dog show, so there it was, the plan, there, in front of us!!!

So, at about 11ish, I decided to get up and i went to meet Eleanor and Skye up outside Budgens (my local friendly supermarket!) and we went to go enter. There were so many dogs there, it was amazing. Just so everyone knows, I can feel quite uncomfortable around dogs because I'm just not used to them. We watched the puppy category (which was so cute!!!) and I watched a staff crawl, which I still think is hilarious :p then Skye was up, in best sporting category (I think). After about a forever (and more staff crawling, once in the center of the ring :p), Skye won second!!!

I don't want to bore anyone with further details, the three good things from today were:

  • I'm now comfortable with dogs (partly because of the Staff that jumped in my lap for some attention :D)
  • It gave me huge inspiration for Rob and Jen
  • Most importantly, I had a great day, thanks to Eleanor =D

Top 5 Songs (Week Starting 08/06)

Here I am, not so bright and very early to post my top 5 songs for this week. I have a busy(ish) day later on so I decided to give you all this sooner than later. Anyone paying any kind of attention to me this week will know for sure what my number 1 is this week, the big question is: what are the other four? I was slightly confused myself, as I'd been listening to it on repeat throughout :p

5. Sleepwalking - Blindside

Sleepwalking is a song that always seemed to hit me for no reason, the delivery is just that powerful I guess. OK, after looking up the meaning for the first time, it turns out that everybody in this world is sleepwalking, because they have not opened themselves up about Christianity or something, blegh. Point it, it sounds awesome.

Good Lyrics: Now here I am, but I'm just sleepwalking
Yes here I stand
But I guess I'm just sleeptalking for myself

4. Adalia - Madina Lake

People that know me well enough know for certain that this is one of my favourite, favourite songs, top 3 for sure. I like this song because as all madina lake songs go, the tune and the lyrics merge to create amazing music, and the lyrics themselves are amazing too. I have about four different versions of this song, and I can tell you exactly what's different about all of them. From the lyrics, the song sounds like it's about a girl who's a bit unstable but the guy loves her and will do anything protect her because she reminds him of him. This is just the single version, which also happens to be my ring tone :p I'm not going to post many lyrics to this, but I can assure you that you WILL see them another time. I'm just gonna leave it as this: "I'll be chasing dragonflies from her darkest skies until the day she dies" Beautiful :)

3. Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet? - Relient K

Yes, it's Relient K AGAIN, I'm sure you're all getting bored of them now, but I recommend this song simply because it's much more grown up than other Relient K songs. It's the first song I heard by these guys and although it hasn't hit number one, it's still my favourite. It's so good, it actually makes a banjo sound serious.

Good Lyrics: "I think you know what i'm getting at
i find it so upsetting that
The memories that you select
You keep the bad but the good ones you forget"

"[Chorus]No, I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know I'll always love you
But right now i just dont like you
Know I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know I'll always love you
But right know i just dont like you
'Cause you took this to far"

"Make your decision and dont you dare think twice
Go with your instincts along with some bad advice
This didnt turn out the way i thought it would at all
You blame me but some of this is still your fault

I tried to move you, but you wouldnt budge
I tried to hold your hand but you'd rather hold your grudge
I think you know what i'm getting at
You said good-bye and i just dont want you regretting that"

2. Teasing to Please (Left Side, Strong Side) - Cute Is What We Aim For

I've just noticed that 2nd, 3rd and 4th bands on this list have all hit number 1 spot at least once :p Anyway, I like this song because ONE LINE reminds me of me, and the rest in the chorus reminds me of the situation I seem to keep getting myself into. There are only bits and pieces of meanings spread around the internet, they just give away that the heart is on the left side (strong side) and that it's about a selfish guy who's in love with a selfish girl who "gives him a run for his money". Take a look for yourself.

Good Lyrics: "'Cause conflict and make your top pick
Restitch my ripped jeans
And take the old ones
Take the old ones out back
Sew them tight at the seams please
I've got so many ripped knees"

"[Chorus] I'm selfish as selfish comes
You're giving me a run,
For my money,
Honey"

1. Sink Into Me - Taking Back Sunday

This is day 6 of listening to this song on repeat :p This may leave you wondering: How did he find the other songs? well, I found numbers 4 and 5 a few hours ago when i decided to give my whole playlist a go, I discovered number 3 while playing Need For Speed (I have a stash of music on my brother's xbox) and I found number 2 just before I got hooked on this song. Anyway, I REALLY don't know how I got so hooked on this song, it has a lively tune I guess, and I adore the lyrics. I think it's about a guy who really likes a girl and the chorus is split into two parts: how much he likes her and how he's going about trying to get her. So far I've had about four different sets of lyrics from this song in my MSN screen name :p It is possibly the best thing I've ever heard by Taking Back Sunday (I have their old album) and I don't care who misses Fred (ex lead singer), I think Adam has proved his worth!

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!

Come on, tell me that you’re better
And you rather just forget
That things have gone so far
Yeah, tell me that you’re better
And you'd rather just forget
That things have gone too far

You're all I see,
Sink into me
Sharpen your teeth,
Sink into me
Sink into me (sink in, sink in)

I'd like to see our roles reversed
To watch you hang on every word
I'd like to see you have your way
I keep my grammar well rehearsed
Correct each stutter, every slur
Come on and have your way with me

Now tell me that you’re better
And you rather just forget
That things have gone so far
You tell me that you’re better
And you'd rather just forget
That yeah, things have gone too far

Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!

You're all I see,
Sink into me
Sharpen your teeth,
Sink into me
Sink into me (sink in, sink in)

Well, I'd like to see our roles reversed
To watch you hang on every word
I'd like to see you have your way
I keep my grammar well rehearsed
Correct each stutter, every slur
Come on and have your way with me
Come on and have your way with me

I'd like to be a note
The kind you could sing
But don't because you're shy
That way I'll live inside your throat
And hang from every word you spoke

Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!

You're all I see,
Sink into me
Sharpen your teeth,
Sink into me
Sink into me (sink in, sink in)

I'd like to see you have your way
Come on, have your way with me
(Aim for every word you spoke)
I'd like to see you have your way
(Correct each stutter, every slur)
Come on, have your way with me
(Sink into me)

Yes Bitches!

I did it, I actually had a bad dream about it this morning (not the night, I slept twice. I'm a pro, we need breaks.) So I was left shaking about every detail until it happened. But then I got the opportunity, and I did it. OK, it wasn't as glamourous as I hoped, but it happened, and I feel good that it happened. Maybe it didn't have the effect that I hoped it would, but the fact that I managed to do it is good enough for me.

(A note to all readers, if you ask, I wont tell you, this is just to tell you about my new found confidence boost =D)

Over and Out.

And Then I Go And Spoil It All By Saying Something Stupid Like . . .

Don't finish it, you won't get it right. I just feel a bit nervous right now, because tomorrow I feel like I'm going to do something crazy. It's not really that bad, I just don't want to get it wrong at all, everything has to be perfect. It's times like this when I hate being a perfectionist, it's not right. If I don't do it, there's a good chance that I'll hate myself forever for messing up again, I refuse to give up, and I have everything set up to get it right. Finally I'm in control, but I don't want anyone to know that :p, by the time people figure out what I've done it'll be too late (that really isn't supposed to sound like a suicide note). I'm crazy about getting this right and no one knows the details. It can't possibly go wrong, I WILL prove that I'm not a failure.

In other news, I have another exam tomorrow, then two to go!

Adam out.

Why I Was Up At 7am Today

I was woken up at 7am today to fix the computer. Then I decided to convert my 83 videos for the blog (so far!!!). I know what the other 17 are and i'm hoping to grab them today. Then I went back to bed (do you blame me?).

Bad things happening: People seem to be hating me...

Good things: I got my new PSP today!!!

Kerrang

Every month I watch the Kerrang top 20, to see if there are any good new songs. Naturally, it usually raises my blood pressure after about 18 (three songs in). When I watched it yesterday, they advertised their 100 best videos during EVERY AD BREAK!!! So, I'm gonna do one, tell me all your votes people :p

Watch out Kerrang!

Robert and Jennifer

Ok, I've been asking around about my writing, and after six votes, the voting looks like this:

Robert and Jennifer - 4
The Devil - 1
Randomentalist - 1

From this i've guessed that Rob and Jen are going to storm it, and so now I just have to figure out what happens :p I'm going to start planning tomorrow. However, if anybody wants to have their say, go ahead, all ideas are welcome =D

If i get enough ideas I might even post it on my blog! (this time it'll be much longer, more action, more romance and more emotion).

Get ready people, it's gonna be awesome.

Top 5 Songs! (Week Starting 01/06/09)

I'd just like to announce before I give you this week's list that I was wrong about You Me At Six, they haven't been top of my list twice, Save it for the bedroom came 3rd and 4th I think. This is possibly the closest list ever, 2,3 and 4 were practically inseparable :p

5. Foster - April Sixth

I've been listening to this song today because someone beat my score on it on audiosurf, I had a crack at reclaiming my throne earlier, my original score was about 61,000, this other score was 63,000. I was a bit sloppy originally because the only score on the list was roughly 4,000. I was ready, on my first run i picked up 66,000. But I didn't want it to stop there. There's an award the neither of us had picked up that adds 30% to your score, after about an hour, I had it and my score was 92,000. Beat that.

I like this song because it has emotive power, it talks about being a homeless child, and taking parents for granted, and it really gets to me.

Good Lyrics: "To all the rest who have a mother and father,
Who have given them a home and a name.
Would check before you walk away like you don't need them,
'Cause some of us would kill just to have them for a day."

"Cause I'm fine (fine).
Livin' in the back streets,
Holding on to all that's mine.
Home just hasn't yet arrived,
For me."

"And along the way in a different world
Of a different time of a different man
You would come into the better years
The best years of your life."

"Well,
We might lead in a different world of a different time (different time)
But all that matters is that I'm alive.
Yeah I'm alive."

4. A Letter From Janelle - Chiodos
Yes, that's right: Chiodos make their return to my list, with a song sent to me by Emily. This song is clearly about a guy who's in a relationship and knows he is being played. The chorus is really effective, I love it.

Good Lyrics: "move with me, move with me. move with me, move with me"

"[Chorus] Don't you think I could tell you were trying to
trying to make
a fool out of me
a fool out of me

Don't you think I could tell you were trying to
trying to make
a fool out of me
a fool out of me"

=2. Remember to Feel Real - Armor For Sleep

Yupp, it's official. This is the first time that there's been a joint number of any kind on my fantastic list. These two songs were just too good to be seperated. I've been listening to this a lot in the past week as an attempt to inspire a verse in my latest set of lyrics. Apparently, it's about a guy considering his life after he's died, and how everyone was different around him. I don't care, have some lyrics :p

Good Lyics: "Waste all your time with me
I know I'm a mess right now
Don't give up in me
I'd wait it out for you
Waste all your time with me
I know I'm a mess right now
Don't give up in me
I'd wait it out for you"

=2. Everchanging (Acoustic) - Rise Against

Why not the original? Because this is better. It's slower, and the guitar doesn't fight the vocals. Because of the guitar just giving a tune instead of trying to impress people, the lyrics come through a lot stronger, and hit you harder. It's about a relationship between a guy and a girl that's been going on for a long time, then suddenly the girl isn't sure and the guy leaves before the girl breaks up with him.

Good Lyrics:"in the face of change
is when she turned to me and said,
"i'm not sure anymore...""

"have you ever been a part of something
that you thought would never end?
and then of course it did

have you ever felt the weight inside you
pulling away inside your skin?
and then something had to give

now the lines are drawn
is this feeling gone?
the best parts of this have come and gone
and now that is all this is"

"now something has kept me here too long and you can't leave me if i'm already gone"

"make the same mistakes we're always hanging onbreak the promises we're always leaning onall this time spent waking up"

"now something has kept me here too long and now i'm gone... "

1. Come Right Out and Say It - Relient K

Yes, this is officially the first band to top my list twice! and within three weeks too! I'm so exited :p It came on earlier this week and I've been searching through all my Relient K songs since. But here it is. I can't find any explaination of this song on my lyrics site, so I'm gonna have a crack at it: It's about a girl who deoesn't talk straight and is just vague. Probably about her feelings for him, and he asks her to just "come right out and say it", even if he doesn't like the answer. How's that?

"I better rest my eyes, 'cause I'm growing weary of this point you've been trying to make
So rather than imply, why don't you just verbalize all the things that you're trying to say?
Thought this would turn out so well
But I'm beginning to see that instead, It's trouble
Into a pattern we fell,
Of prolonging the inevitable

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are probably gonna hurt,
I'd rather have the truth than something insincere
Why don't you come right out and say it? (Come right out and say it)
What it is you're thinking, though I'm thinking it's not what I wanna hear

I better check my pride, because I was starting to think that I was onto something good
But things started to slide and I sit here in retrospect, understanding that I misunderstoodT
hought I could make up your mind
You had a decision locked up so tight, it couldn't be touched
Thought you were being so kind
By keeping your mouth sealed shut, rather than just opening it up

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are probably gonna hurt,
I'd rather have the truth than something insincere
Why don't you come right out and say it? (Come right out and say it)
What it is you're thinking, though I'm thinking it's not what I wanna hear

And I'll try to guess what goes on in your head
'Cause in your mind, I just might find all those things you left unsaid
And I'll try to make you not regret anything
But later on, after I'm gone,
You'll wish that you had listened to me
Had listened to me

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are gonna hurt, we're better off this way
Why don't you come right out and say, come right out and say
What I know you're thinking anyway

Why don't you come right out and say it?
Even if the words are probably gonna hurt,
I'd rather have the truth than something insincere
Why don't you come right out and say it? (Come right out and say it)
What it is you're thinking,
oh, what is it you're thinking?

Why don't you?
What if is you're thinking, though I'm thinking it's not what I wanna hear"

End of an Era

Yesterday was my last full day at Francis Combe School. I actually coped a lot better than I thought I would :p I didn't have a spare shirt for people to sign, so I used my bag instead. It was a nice relaxed day, and I got NEARLY every sign i wanted, but I missed out a person, and I feel terrible for doing so...

Had our last English exam earlier, I officially have only two subjects left (three exams)!

The next few months are going to be insane, I'm not really sure how I'm going to cope to be honest. I just hope that after the hectic dies down, I'm not just left on my own. BUT that's a while away and so I should stick in the present for now, today was amazing, and I have a plan to work on.

In other news: I still need a job.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's top 5!

A Formal Request

I'm officially issuing a contract on Connor Lee, some prick who thinks he's better than me for no reason (and stinks). I've had it with year 10 as it is and he's just too far, I'll pay everything I have (at least £7 in coppers).

In other news, I'm on week three of exams and I'm more than halfway through now (only science and RE left after tomorrow). I've finished two sets of lyrics that have been staring me in the face lately, meaning I only have one set of unfinished lyrics now!!!

Study Leave starts on Friday!!! I'm not sure what to do though because everyone will be "revising" and won't wanna go out and stuff. Sucks.

I hate the sun!!! In winter I can cope because i'm a fairly warm person, but now I'm overheating a lot and it's gay.

I've learnt that I can shout out "game of blackjack?" in any room and get myself a game, I've also been trying to build a house of cards lately (4 storeys high) and the best I've got so far is three completed storeys!

And finally, I've been wanting to write lately. I've got three options: carry on the adventures of Robert and Jennifer (and maybe develop their budding relationship? Oh come on, it's obvious!), write about the devil trying to become good and living human (there's this rule that he can't turn sixteen unless he becomes good), or the story of the randomentalist, set in the future, he's leader of the underworld fighting a corrupt government (i've set it in the future because it means I have freedom to create). this last one's more complex because it's told through a few different view points. So, what is it people? Comment with your opinion!!!
