My Thoughts Today

"Two Lefts Don't Make A Right"

Damn...

Story Time! (Last Part)

She said nothing on the way, and I wasn’t quite sure what to say, so I stayed silent. As we reached the gate, I saw the true size of the graveyard, it seemed big from the park, but the view from there was merely a fraction, it didn’t seem grim or anything, but the shear size of the place was kind of intimidating.

I was led around the church to a small area at the back. The gravestones were tightly packed together here, there was barely any space to stand in front of them. she pointed, her face showing no emotion, towards a gravestone just inside the third row, it read “James Maple, 1991-2007, rest in peace” nothing else, in front of the grave stood a picture frame of a grinning boy and a plant plot containing a group of blooming lilies. Jennifer proceeded to take the bag off of her back and produced a bottle of water.

I wasn’t sure what to say, I watched her water the plant, then a few plants in front of surrounding graves. It seemed a bit too much to take in all at once, I mean, this whole situation was practically surrounded by death, but now I was literally surrounded by death, and I was afraid. Not afraid of all the people lying around me, but of the fact that any point, one of my friends could join them. I didn’t like that idea at all,
“How often do you come here?” I spoke slowly and chose my words carefully. I didn’t want to offend her again,
“About twice a week,” she replied, not making any eye contact with me, which bothered me. After all, the eyes are the windows to the soul. Then I realized it, this was Jennifer, just on a darker scale, she cared, even after death, she still cared for her friends, that was amazing. The back of my eyes began to itch.

“If…if I lost someone, anyone…I wouldn’t treat them any differently, I’d still visit them, talk to them, buy things for them…care for them,” a tear rolled down my cheek, she finally looked me in the eye,
“And…what would you do?” She asked me,
“I’d go to a friend, everyone needs help at some point in their life. I’d go to you.”

Now, boys don’t normally cry, not unless they really can’t stop themselves, but when they do, they cry silently, and they cry away from those they love. I was with someone I loved, as a friend. I’d lost the schoolboy crush I had on her long ago, back on her desk. I was also crying silently, I didn’t care if she saw, I was only human. She took a tissue from her pocket and passed it to me,
“I’m sorry Robert,” she said, “I lost myself; I just wanted to escape from it all. But, in order to escape, I had to step into a trap. It wasn’t fair on you,”
“It’s ok, I understand,” I’d calmed myself by now, back to a wiser state,
“Really?” she seemed surprised,
I nodded, simply because I couldn’t explain it. She carried on with her explanation,
“I felt like I had nothing to live for, and I couldn’t figure it out. I was afraid.”
“But you figured it out?”
“Yes,”
“And what did you figure out?” She looked me right in the eyes, I felt defenceless against this new, powerful, gaze, it contained many things, friendship, respect, admiration, will, and that kind of love that can’t be explained in any way, it wasn’t a friendly love, but it wasn’t a girlfriend/boyfriend love, it was pure connection, she smiled at me,
“Robert, I live for you.”

Not Sure Why Tuesdays Are So Clueless...

Ok, I REALLY haven't got a clue what to post today, so I'm gonna post some lyrics i wrote a while back, they don't really have much of a tune so make up your own :p

Here For Me
Maybe I’m wrong in thinking
That no one’s here for me
Maybe I’m all alone
And you’re all just trying
To leave me behind
(spoken)
It’s a little unfair to think that
After constantly being ditched and abandoned
While you people are “ill” or “busy”
That you don’t actually want me
Well, here’s what I want
(chorus)
Somebody to give me a little attention
Someone that’d give me a mention
A girl or guy to help me forget
To help me out when I’m a little upset
They wont leave me through hate and they wont ditch me through greed
A friend’s all I want and that’s all I need

Maybe I’m not making myself clear
It’s getting a little predictable
The way people act so innocent
Just makes it worse on their own little score table
I’m not going crazy
I’m not really paranoid
This is actually happening to me

Well now it’s my turn

(Chorus)

(spoken)
Around all of this madness
You begin to think
You think “how bad must I be?”
Then you begin to sink
Lower and lower inside yourself
Until everything you say is a direct attack on you
This isn’t my causing
This is your fault
You’d better be taking some bloody notes

(Instrumental)
I need somebody to give me a little attention
Someone that’d give me a mention
A girl or guy to help me forget
To help me out when I’m a little upset
(spoken while music fades) For comfort, for help, for sanctuary and shelter
For the happiness, the fun and all in between
For the love that friends give and receive in return
For the motivation that drives us to get up in the morning
For calming when angry and cheering when sad
For company even when unexpected
For all you expect from a friend and even more . . .
. . . (sung)Yeah that’s what I need

Are Slugs Cannibals?!

It's been a weird week, so I'm gonna focus on what matters, the weekend!

I didn't plan for saturday at all, I was just innocently sitting on the computer at 9pm when i was asked to window shop with Emma for two hours, obviously i said yes, because she's an awesome, awesome person. Then, at about 11pm, i got a text from Anna asking if i wanted to meet her as well. Obviously the times all fitted together perfectly, 'cause things like that just don't happen and go halfway :p

So, after i found the trainstation, i met Anna and her friend and we went to Costa, where we stayed, they told me they moved but i don't really believe them. They bought lots of things and I felt really out of place because I knew i couldn't afford anything :p. Then i went to meet Emma, where i found out the whole window shopping thing was a lie, I don't remember looking through one window with her at all! Anyway, we looked at lots of accessories and necklaces and stuff, because i'm sort of like the gay best friend but without the gay.

After Emma was dragged away for other engagements, I went back to Costa, because Anna was STILL there, we stayed till about 7, and they bought lots of things, and I read the sun because there was nothing better to read. Overall, it was a pretty awesome day.

Sunday was pretty well planned, even though i didn't plan it. Eleanor decided she was coming round mine and James decided we were going to his, easy plan. In the end we sat around creating our virtual life in a flat together in the sims. Needless to say, we all got married and Eleanor accidently became a step mother, genius, a lovely, relaxing day :D

It was an amazing weekend, but there was still something missing, I miss you Emily!!!

Story Time! (Part 4)

After Jennifer had woken herself, we travelled downstairs, where I sat her on the sofa,
“I know why you did it,” I said, “I read the conversations; those people are dangerous, they make people kill themselves for fun! Nothing they said was true, nothing!”
“There’s another reason…they just brought it back, I figured they were fake after a while,”
“Let me guess, someone did what you nearly did to me a while back, and you want to be with them,”
“That was out of order Robert!” She stood up, eyes watering,
“What?!” I knew my guesses were lucky, but this was impossible, surely…
“Go home, I hate you!” She threw her inappropriately placed schoolbag at me; tears were streaming down her face,
“I’m sorry…I didn’t know!”
“I don’t care Robert!” She walked towards the door, “I’m going,”
“Where?!” I was slightly hysterical at this point.
“I’m not telling you Robert, just go home! And if you follow me I’ll call the police!” That worked.

I waited for her to exit her road before sitting on her doorstep, clutching her bag, trying to think of any place she would go to. Normally it wouldn’t have taken long but my thoughts were clouded by what she might do to herself and my own personal failure. It hurt to think that I could cause so much damage by getting so close to the cause of the problem, it really did. I couldn’t imagine what she was going to do; she didn’t appear to be thinking at all! After what felt like an age, it clicked.

There was this park not to far away from Jen’s house, with a graveyard next to it. She’d always seemed attached to it but I never knew why. Obviously, it all made sense now. I began to run, which isn’t something I normally do, my dignity no longer mattered. What had seemed to start as an accident had suddenly become a matter of life and death.

Death was the one thing I was most afraid of, more than heights, more than spiders, more than anything. I don’t mean my own death, I’m not that selfish, I mean anyone’s death, I want to prolong any life for as long as possible. I was four or five streets away from Jennifer’s house when I received a text. Nobody apart from Jennifer knew how to text me, so it had to be her. I whipped my phone out of my pocket, “Can you bring me my bag? I need something out of it” I guessed she thought I’d already figured out where she was and turned into the path that led to the park.

She was on a swing, facing away from the gate, she obviously wasn’t expecting me any time soon, so I called out to her,
“I want you to show me your friend,”
“Okay…but first, my bag,” She’d calmed down a fair amount since I’d last seen her, so I passed her the bag, not expecting any immediate danger. She caught the bag with her free arm, put it on her lap, took some silver coins from her jeans, and placed them in the side pocket. She then jumped off the swing and walked towards the gate, I assumed I was to follow.

Final part

Story Time! (Part 3)

Buses were only something I’d been using recently, I’d got this card that cut my fares in half, so I thought I’d might as well start using it. Jen didn’t talk much on the way to hers; she appeared to be deep in thought about something, something bad. I asked “is there something on your mind Jen?” four or five times, I only ever got “Oh? Yeah,” before she floated back to “Jennifer Land” again. In the end I turned my attention to the outside of the bus, realizing that one of us had to pay attention to where we were. As the bus turned into her road, I gave her a good flick to bring her back to earth. Her eyes widened and her face grew pale,
“Whassamatta?” I asked,
“Nothing,” she replied, quickly regaining control and bringing herself back to normal. She gave my arm a pull, “come on, I need a bath,”
“Charming.”

When we got in, she dragged me up to her room, sat me at her desk, grabbed some clothes and locked herself in the bathroom. Naturally, I’d been hoping for this to happen, I pulled out my memory stick and rammed it into her computer. What? You think I wouldn’t have planned? You’ve obviously not been listening carefully enough. Anyway, I booted up the computer and stormed into her documents.
“History, history, history,” I mumbled to myself, scanning the endless amount of folders,
“Gotcha!” I exclaimed, copying the folder to my memory stick. I needed to take a quick look before shutting everything down though. What I found was something else.

I don’t know how she found these people, I don’t know why they chose her, but I knew either way it was bad. These people were dangerous, no doubt about it. They played with peoples heads by posing as help, then driving them to suicide…I couldn’t catch them, they were invisible... Just scrolling through the conversations made me feel sick. Evidently they unpicked her feelings about her looks first and then her personality, finally making her admit suicide was the best way out. I hated it. Suddenly it dawned on me. Jennifer wasn’t bathing.

“Jen? Jennifer?” No reply, “Jennifer?!” Still nothing, I held my ear to the door, trying to pick up any kind of movement. Nothing! This was beyond bad, I couldn’t think straight…I knocked. Nothing. Knocked harder, still nothing! I tried the door, locked, obviously! Argh! I sat on the top stair with my ear to the wall, trying to slow my heart beat at the same time. Suddenly, movement! A quick splash, then heavy breathing. It was good enough for me.
“Jennifer!” I shouted,
“Wha…” was the dazed reply,
“Dry yourself, get dressed and come out please. We need to talk.”

Part 4

Top 5 Songs (Week Starting 20/04)

5. Ransom - Escape the Fate
Escape the Fate's second week on my list. Although in the long term I'll always prefer Situations, I've been listening to this more lately, it's darker, but not too dark and obviously it has that amazing delivery of lyrics:D

Good Lyrics: "Tell me how that you can swim, when ropes are wrapped around your limbs"

4. Hot In The Dolls House - My Passion
I prefer this song more for the tune than anything else, I think the guitar at the start is powerful, I think that the tinkling at the end is very effective too. It took me away to a world of my own just listening to it...

Good Lyrics: "And all the girls will smile for me"

3.Save It For the Bedroom - You Me At Six

Yes, one of last week's five is still fighting strong, although it has dropped an entire place:( I've listened to this for long enough to be able to sing along now, which I do, because it's one of those tunes which is really easy to get into, especially with the bit at the end :D

2.Twenty Twenty Surgery - Taking Back Sunday

This is the song I've had for the longest time out of these five, the veteran. It's also the only band I have an album of. Why do I like it? I like a lot of taking back Sunday songs, they deliver lyrics well, they have a good pace and they have good lyrics too. It always manages to keep me singing along and keeps my mood nice and stable :)

Good Lyrics: "It's not the quantity that bothers me, it's the means,"
"You're so sensitive, I am, I am a machine,"

1.Take Me Away - Plain White T's

Don't ask, I have no idea how this made it onto the scene either. I always thought that stuff by the plain white T's would all be like "Hey there Delilah", so i was pleasantly surprised when I heard this song. It had really good lyrics, a pretty solid tune and a really nice pace. The only downside is whatever you call that noise at the start of the song, it really gets on my nerves :p that shows how much i like this song :D
(I've decided that i'll post the entire song for all number ones now)

"I know we just got here,
But I think it's time to go
I didn't wanna believe you
But now I know
You know who just walked in
And she didn't come alone
I can't stand to see this
Get me home

Take me away
I'm gonna hurt somebody
Take me away right now
How could she say
She wanted more
You'd better Take me away right now

I thought she was perfect
She thought I was perfect too
Perfect until she found someone new
Now I'm stuck here watching her
I can't take this abuse
What does this guy do that I can't do?

Take me away
I'm gonna hurt somebody
Take me away right now
How could she say
She wanted more
You'd better Take me away right now

Whoa!

Take me away
I'm gonna hurt somebody
Take me away right now
How could she say
She wanted more
You'd better Take me away right now

Take me away
Oh
Take me away right now
How could she say
She wanted more
You'd better Take me away right now
Right now"

Other songs of note :D

Gives you hell - The all american rejects
Get back - Ludacris
Saturday - Fallout boy
Emergancy - Paramore
Slam - Pendulum
Let's Dance (Remix) - Hitack

Story Time! (Part 2)

“Why didn’t you come to me?” I said it cautiously, unknowing of the answer,
“I wasn’t thinking, I’ve been speaking to these people…and it just all flashed in front of me, and I just…jumped.” She looked close to tears,
“Smooth… so this is why you want me here?”
“kind of, I don’t want help, I just realized that you’re the only guy that really cares about me, you really make my life better,” she smiled, “You got me away from the drugs my ex got me into, then you got my pregnancy test for me, and you’re always there for me when I need you,”
“You make me sound quite manipulative really,” I thought out loud
“It’s a good thing,” then she laughed. That was when it came to me, I could do this.
“Okay, I’ve got a plan,” I always had a plan,
“You always have a plan,” she replied. Suddenly, I became serious.
“I’ll keep you alive, I’ll keep you alive if it kills me, I promise.”
She looked into my eyes carefully; she knew that they changed minds,
“Okay…I want you to pick me up tomorrow, midday.”
“Good idea,”
“Thanks.”

We talked for sometime after that, but the subject was still on my mind, it wouldn’t leave, not on the way home, not during dinner, not while lying in bed. What would I do without a friend like her? I couldn’t imagine life without her! What could I do to show her that life’s worth living? It was so much more than anything I had ever dealt with, I knew that. I also knew that I needed help, but I couldn’t let anyone else know.

The next morning I returned to the hospital. Admittedly, I looked like something from “night of the living dead”, I was rarely seen during a morning because I’d much rather be curled up in bed. Alas, I dug my alarm clock out of my brothers toy box (how it got there I don’t want to know) and set it to 9:30, a time unknown to me. Anyway, I was early, so I went up to find her.

After walking past her ward twice, I eventually found her wrestling with a long, stripy sock, she stopped and looked up,
“Do you need any help with that?” I asked. If there was anything I hated, it was seeing people struggle,
“Yes please,” she’d been crying, it’s just something you pick up when dealing with lots of girls. I walked over and pulled up her sock,
“You know, I’ve never understood how you girls have such long socks and yet you’re always so bloody cold,”
She laughed,
“We aren’t cold, you’re just bloody warm!”
“Whatever!” I replied. After a good giggle, she held out her hand and I helped her up.

I think she needed to sign out or something, I wasn’t really paying attention, I was concentrating more on her cast, it was obviously causing her trouble. She must’ve felt pretty restricted in absolutely everything without use of an entire arm. You’ll learn that I think a little too much in my life, however, for those who’d like to know what Jen did, I remember her speaking to a doctor, who led us somewhere where he and her signed some stuff, he then proceeded to share a joke about us being an item, and showed us the exit, where we then stood and waited for the bus back to her house.

Part 3

1 Week Today!

Woo! This blog is officially one week old! So, i promised top 10 lists, so here's your first.

Top 10 Movie Bad Guys

Now, you're all expecting the likes of Darth Vader and Dr Evil on this list, alas, you probably won't have heard of any of these characters. However, you WILL have heard of these actors. All of these films are films i seriously recommend and you really should check them out.

10. Rory Breaker (played by Vas Blackwood) - Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Lock, Stock is one of my favourite films. The bad guys are no exception, there are at least two other bad guys in this film, all for their own reasons. Rory is my favourite because he's just plain coolest, he's addicted to telly and set a guy alight just so he could watch the footie.

The Plan: To get the drugs back that were stolen from him.

Demise: Get's caught up in a gun fight with one of the other bad guys in the main character's flat.

Cool Quotes: "If you hold back anything, I'll kill ya. If you bend the truth or I think your bending the truth, I'll kill ya. If you forget anything I'll kill ya. In fact, you're gonna have to work very hard to stay alive, Nick. Now do you understand everything I've said? Because if you don't, I'll kill ya."

9. The Devil (played by Elizabeth Hurley) - Bedazzled

Reasons: a) She's the devil! Smooth, clever and all powerful

b) It's Liz Hurley!

The plan: To exchange seven wishes for Elliot's soul, obviously she finds the loop hole in every wish

Demise: Elliot uses his wish for someone else's benefit, which according to the terms and conditions of the contract, means she has to let him go.

Cool Quotes: "My life is a living hell!"

8. Donald Sinclair (played by John Cleese) - Rat Race

Oh come on! It's John Cleese! He plays a dangerously eccentric billionaire who does anything he likes, and is brilliantly funny while he does it, him and his ridiculously rich friends bet on anything such as who barf first on an air plane, what a hooker charges for some really weird requests and which maid can hang off of the curtain rail for the longest amount of time.

The plan: To send eight people out on a race across America for 2 million dollars, little do they know that he has his rich friends betting 2 million dollars each for who they think will win.

The demise: The racers accidentally donate all the cash to charity, and name Donald as the generous man who will double whatever the night raises!

Cool quotes: "I can do whatever I like, I'm eccentric! Rawr, Rawr!"

7. Simon Skinner (played by Timothy Dalton) - Hot Fuzz

I think the best thing about watching him was knowing that he used to be James Bond. He's a much cooler bad guy. He's the owner of the local Somerfields and is the prime suspect in a number of murders around the village.

The plan: He's part of the village council, who kill off anyone who threaten their chances of winning the village of the year competition.

Demise: He ends up in an epic fist fight with Nick Angel in the model village, ending up in a gorey situation on the model church. Needless to say, he's arrested.

Cool quotes: "My, my, here come the Fuzz."
"Stop, or the ginger nut gets it!"

6. Benedict (played by Charles Dance) - Last Action Hero

Benedict is awesome for four reasons:
1.He's very devious
2.He's British
3.He has the most amazing revolver
4.He has a number of glass eyes, one with a smilie face!
The plan: To kill his boss and become the real bad guy, after that he aims to bring the bad guys from all the movies to cause some serious havoc.
Demise: Gets shot in the glass eye, it explodes.
Cool Quotes: Jack Slater: "Sir, are you a henchman?"
Benedict: "No, I only go as far as lackey. "
___
Jack Slater: "Did you make a movie mistake? You forgot to reload the damn gun."
Benedict: "No, Jack. I just left one chamber empty." *Shoots Jack*
___
"I'll fetch him. Dracula? Huh. I can get King Kong! We'll have a nightmare with Freddy Krueger, have a surprize party for Adolf Hitler, Hannibal Lecter can do the catering, and then we'll have christening for Rosemary's Baby! All I have to do is snap my fingers and they'll be here."
___
"If God was a villain, he would have been me."
5. Cyrus "the Virus" Grissom (played by John Malkovich) - Con Air

He's so clever! And so nasty! and so awesome! John malkovich always plays an amazing bad guy, but this is certainly the best, he takes over an entire plane full of convicts and I'm fairly sure that's not easy.
The plan: To escape!
Demise: After an awesome fight scene on the back of a fire engine, Cyrus gets handcuffed to the top of the ladder, the engine steams through an overhead walkway, and malkovich goes in one window, out the other. He lands under a big rock crushing machine, proving even the toughest nuts get cracked (I'm talking about his head, not the other nuts)
Cool quotes: Vince Larkin: "Where are you going with my plane, Cyrus?"
Cyrus: "We're going to Disney Land."
___
"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I have the only gun on board. Welcome to Con Air."
___
Pinball: "You didn't mean that "dirty nigger crackhead" shit, did you?"
Cyrus Grissom: "Give me that gun. *takes the gun* Hell yes, I meant it."
4.Snidely Whiplash (played by Alfred Molina) - Dudley Do-Right
Quite possibly the most English villain every, curley moustache, top hat, Victorian English clothes, and oh so dastardly. He makes this film for me and I aspire to be him some day :p.
The plan: To rule the world, obviously!
His demise: Bad guys always lose, unfortunately, Snidely called himself the bad guy the entire way through, what did he expect?
Cool quotes: "That's no fair! They've got rocks and all we've got is machine guns!"
Special Mention - Smoking Aces
Before we get to our final three, I'd like to mention a film which just has to be mentioned on a bad guys list. Smoking aces is a film about a cop protecting a guy with a million dollar bounty on his head. Naturally all the top assassins take up all the challenge, so there are lots of bad guys to look out for. A master of disguise, an ex mercenary, two female assassins, three hillbillies and a few mates just in it for the cash all go for it, and are all ready to fight who ever gets in their way.
Sorry, just thought a film with at least five different sets of bad guys deserved a mention :)
3.Two Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and The Riddler (Jim Carrey) -Batman Forever
What's better than an awesome bad guy? Two awesome bad guys!
One guy flips a coin to choose whether to kill someone, the other is incredibly clever. Genius!
The plan: To find out who the batman is and expose him. Or kill him.
Demise(s): Two face flips his coin, batman throws lots of identical coins into the air, two face slips while trying to catch them and falls to his death
The riddler is sitting in his chair controlling people's minds when batman throws a batamarang at the power source, riddler's brain gets turned to mush and he goes insane (more insane than before :P)
Cool quotes: Riddler:*To Two-face* "I like what you've done with the place, heavy metal meets house and garden."
2, McStarley (played by Vinnie Jones) - The Condemned
The second i realized that Vinnie was gonna play the main bad guy i knew it was going to be amazing. There are two things i look for in a bad guy, comedy and/or nastiness, Mcstarley seriously excels in nastiness.
The plan: to kill all the other guys and win his freedom
Demise: he wins, but didn't quite kill one of them right, it comes back to haunt him when he gets shot
He doesn't really have any quotes, but just to prove he's nasty, he found two lovers, hancuffed the man to a tree, raped his girlfriend then blew her up in front of him. Point proven.
1.Feng (played by Christopher Walken) - Balls of Fury

If anyone wonders why Chris Walken is my fave actor, this is why. It's not that he's particularly evil, he's just fabulous! Quirkiness is one of my favourite things in a bad guy and he takes it to the max. Represent!
The plan: to host an underground sudden death (literally!) table tennis tournament.
Demise: he takes on the main character in a one bounce anywhere counts game, they take it to a rope bridge where Feng falls.
Cool quotes: "Ping pong. Or as the chinese say, "Ping pong.""
"Let's get it over with! We're missing antiques roadshow!"
"I wont bite, at least not anywhere that shows."
"I bid you toodles."

Story Time!

Sorry I've not posted in two whole days, but you're in for a treat, I promise. I wrote this story last year for my english coursework, and it's the best thing I've ever written, I think it's an A*. It's a story that's become very close to me and I love it to bits, so here's the first part, just for you guys.

Help (part 1)
Help: everybody needs it at some point in their life. That’s where I come in. I help people, and I don’t want to sound conceited or anything, but I’m pretty good at it. It’s fairly basic really, relationship problems, sexually confused boys, girls with “boy troubles”, you get the point, but the holidays are usually a quiet time of the year for that kind of thing, I mean, a phone call was a rare occasion in itself. But I did receive one...
“Robert? Is that you? It’s Jenny’s mum, she’s had a bit of an accident and wants to see you; can you afford the bus to the hospital? Good, I’ll see you there, thanks.”

It was nice to feel wanted for once. I mean as a friend, not as “The Helper” or “The Clever Guy”. This was week four in the holiday, or the third, I’d lost count by then, it was just over halfway through, and as usual, it hadn’t been very eventful. I leant my head on the bus window, as this was where I was while these thoughts passed through my head, then hastily took it off as the bus clambered over a speed bump. The next thought that passed through my head was one word, a word that meant a thousand. Jennifer.

I hadn’t known Jennifer as long as a lot of my friends: about six months, but I knew her as well as most of them, if not better than. She cared about the way I thought of myself and others, and she wanted to try and understand how my mind worked. I’d often step back from myself and say “boring!” but she always said otherwise. She gave me all I ever wanted from a friend, but she lived on the other side of town and we were both short of money eighty percent of the time, so we didn’t see that much of each other. The worst part was that she looked amazing as well, which threw me right out of the boyfriend picture, so I kept that kind of thing well away from the friendship we had.

As I dismounted the bus, Jennifer’s mum was already outside waiting for me. She was smiling, so it couldn’t be all bad. It might have just been because I made the effort to get there. Good friends do that, but you don’t find many people like that these days. She liked me, I know she did, all parents like me, and what’s not to like? I get the grades, I’m lacking in looks, and I make the effort to see her, no danger to Jen at all.
“Thanks for coming, I really appreciate it. I’ll take you up, Jenny will be so pleased that you came,” she flashed another dazzling smile, I think she was a beautician or something, I couldn’t really remember. Something involving nails? That mystery held my thoughts until we arrived at Jennifer’s ward, where my thoughts turned to her.

When I first saw her she looked quite alien, I don’t mean her face or anything, that was just as beautiful as ever. I’m talking about the arm in the cast; it was something that didn’t suit her, she was always so careful that it just wasn’t expected.
“Alright Jen? How do you feel today?” I said, taking a seat next to her,
“I’m okay, a bit itchy though,” she was always the one to point out the greater things in life,
“Aww” I said, stroking her hair, “What happened?”
“I fell down the stairs. Apparently I’m lucky my neck’s still in place,” her mum walked away, satisfied with the reunion,
“That could have been gorey,” I joked, “Can I have first sign?”
“Yeah…Robert?” Her face drifted, “Can I tell you something?”
“Of course you can, you know that,”
“I tried to kill myself.”

Silence.

Part 2

Today

Today, I decided to go and "steal" the sims from a friend, all it was was to copy the folders onto my external hard drive and run. BUT, three hours later, I'm still here...It's been pretty cool though, mario kart, sims, stufflings.

So yeah, now that the holidays are nearly over, it's probably time to give a review of how everything went:

Saturday 4th

Went to town with loads of friends (Tom, James, Eleanor, Michael and later Emily) to look for outfits for us. Naturally, it was a total disaster. But, on a scale of one to cool, it was an awesome day. Ended up at James' where i stayed till about 11pm.

Sunday 5th

It's a blur, I either went to Michael's or stayed in, either way i didn't have my amazing sunglasses because they had taken up residence at James' :(

Monday 6th

Went to Michael's, played games and stuff, the usual, good chillout session :)

Tuesday 7th

School: Yes, i know it's a holiday and everything, but i needed some serious catch up time, so i went in and did some english, turned into mess about session, awesome. Spent the rest of the day hiding down in art with Eleanor.

Wednesday 8th

More school: Was food tech today, teacher was late due to not waking up on time, like me :) So helped out my brother's form tutor by colouring stuff in and advising her on where to get a new pair of her awesome boots.

Thursday 9th

Moreeee Schooool: Food tech again, teacher got caught up in car accident today, she came back with a handful of pieces that had fallen off of her car, nice :) Although, I will miss the civic. R.I.P To the nice looking car. She'll be driving round in a TT till she gets the new one :p

Friday 10th

Went to town, mainly to HMV, bought the bourne identity for three quid once i'd figured out which was the first film in the series. Walked to town in rain, walked half way back and visited Tom (once i'd figured what number he lived at), until rain stopped. More good chilling time, well deserved. On the downside, i picked up some nasty blisters and my converses got REALLY wet :(

Saturday 11th

Poker! Today I hosted (again) James, Michael, Nicola and Tom, James won first game (I came third) and Nicola stormed second game, winning nearly every hand. Then we proceded to play jenga (the real tough people's game) and Nicola taught us how to play a new card game, which i won at :p. We then Trekked to James' in the rain (Michael's idea >:( ) and played monopoly, I won again :p then gave people a lift home and slept.

Sunday 12th

First day i really didn't have any plans, just sat around watching TV, most likely football :p

Monday 13th

Second day i didn't have plans, got back into audiosurf today.

Tuesday 14th

Now, i WAS going to go to school, but i went back to sleep and woke up again at about 2pm, so i decided against it.

Wednesday 15th

School again: Performing arts today, out of eight students, I was the ONLY person to come in :(, did lots of work though so I'm top of the class for once! Oh, yeah, and I started a blog :p

Thursday 16th

Even more school: More performing arts...more loneliness. Sigh.

Friday 17th

Last day of school!: IT and English today, got pestered by Ewan all of first IT session (was late so it wasn't long :P) then browsed through my awesome original writing story with Eleanor to check up on grammar to make it an A* (will post another time). Is the only A* I'll ever get in english so don't worry. Did more IT and went home.

Saturday 18th

Decided to go to James' so we could copy the sims 2 games that my idiot brother deleted. Still here now, and has just gone 10pm, as long as i get to see some lovely rupert and salem cats I'm happy (:

Sunday 19th

Am entering the relms of predicting the futuuuuuuuuuuuuure. I'm probably doing nothing.

So yeah, overall things have gone quite well for a holiday, and now i have this amazing blog, I can bore you all half to death about it :D.

Top Five Songs (Week Starting 13/04)

Ok, I'm gonna be doing this every friday, the songs that I've been into most this week. I'm gonna count down from five to one, and write a little about each song along the way. So here goes, the very first top five songs!

5.Chiodos - The words "best friend" become redefined

I like this song because it varies, starts heavy, goes light, nice piano tune, gets heavy again, and unlike lots of songs like this, it balances!

Good lyrics: "Let me embrace you with this kiss, and together we'll float like angels"
"If your stomach feels weak then my work here is done"

4.The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Cat and mouse

I was listening to this song all the time at the start of the week. I just love the piano tune that goes the whole way through, it adds so much depth to the song.

Good lyrics: "You said, you said that you would die for me, you must live for me too"

3. A Change Of Pace - Weekend Warriors

A latecomer to my week, only been listening to it today and yesterday, it's got such a happy theme to it and that's all amplified by the chorus. It kept me in a really happy mood.

Good lyrics: "[chorus] This can't last forever, raise a glass together, doesn't get much better,
no better than this"

2. You Me At Six - Save it for the bedroom

It's just awesome, no one can deny it, and they're brits! I think the way the chorus is structured really gives off some feeling and the lyrics are amazinggg.

Good lyrics: "Keep your hands to yourself, you know these lips belong to someone else"
"So who's keeping score, on who is a whore, with you by my side, that look in
your eye"
"Save it for, save it for the bedroom, save it for, save it for the bedroom"

1. Escape the Fate - Situations

I think I have actually fallen in love with this song. I get an adrenaline rush like, every time i hear it. The way it's strucutred is so awesome, it's hard to find a song structured or delivered better. I love it so much, that all of the lyrics are my favourite, and I'm gonna post the entire song.

Good lyrics: "Situations, are irrelevant now,
She loves the way that I tease,
I love the way that she breathes

I touched her (ooh),
She touched my (ahhh),
It was the craziest thing,

I love the girls who hate to love because they're just like me,
A certain girl she took my hand and ran it up her thigh,
She licked her lips and pulled my hair I fall in love for a night

She can't behave, and I'm just a slave,
Don’t worry, I'll be gone when the morning comes

Darling, what is going on?
Honestly, that never happened, lying is your favorite passion,
Leave me, go where you belong,
Higher heels and lipstick napkins, dying is your latest fashion

The frustration, it's a regular thing,
I hate the ones who love to hate because they're just like me,
A certain girl she took her hand and put in my lap,
"It's way too full" she said, "Once you have me you'll always come back"

She can't behave, and I'm just a slave,
Don’t worry, I'll be gone when the morning comes

Darling, what is going on?
Honestly, that never happened, lying is your favorite passion,
Leave me, go where you belong,
Higher heels and lipstick napkins, dying is your latest fashion

I know you love to resist,
And all it takes is a kiss,
And you just love to hate me.

You know you love all the lies,
So don't act surprised,
That I just love to hate you.

I kissed your lips,
You pulled my hair,
It was the craziest thing.

I love the girls who love to hate.

(Whoa) Darling, what is going on?
Honestly, that never happened, lying is your favorite passion,
Leave me, go where you belong,
Higher heels and lipstick napkins, dying is your latest fashion

Darling (leave me) what is going on?
Honestly that never happened Lying is your favorite passion,
Leave me (darling), go where you belong,
Higher heels and lipstick napkins, dying is your favorite passion."
