"I have always depended on the kindness of strangers"

I'll be honest, today wasn't the best day ever. I was tired, it was a long college day (9am to 6pm) and my oyster card balance was dipping above and below £1 all day. But while I was restlessly half pacing at Watford Junction at around 7pm, I was approached by a woman and her kid. She asked if I would like her all day travel ticket thing, as she was done travelling for the day, how kind.

It brightened my day considerably. I mean, it wasn't the biggest money saving ever, my ticket would have cost me £1.45, but it shows that the world isn't as relentless as the papers like to tell us*. Thank you, mystery woman.

Also, you get points for telling me what the title of this post is from!
lol misquote!

*talking of papers, that new paper (called i or something) isn't bad for 20p.
